Agency InformationCOVID-19 Response

The health and safety of our staff, clients and volunteers is our highest priority during this unprecedented health emergency. In an effort to keep our community informed, we wanted to share information about a situation we learned of on Saturday.

On Saturday, a person in one of Community Services Agency’s (CSA) off-site programs informed us that they tested positive for COVID. We immediately contacted the Santa Clara County Public Health Department to report this positive test, and they immediately began a special investigation which includes contact tracing. That Public Health effort is well underway and they will be contacting additional individuals if deemed appropriate.

Although the person who tested positive for COVID has not been inside CSA’s main building at 204 Stierlin Road for some time, there are a few staff working from the main building who have had periodic contact with this individual. Because of this periodic contact, CSA management, proactively and in an abundance of caution, took immediate action and asked all staff in the main building of CSA to seek testing.

This will likely lead to disruptions in service for the week of 6/29-7/03. Our Senior Nutrition Program will be operated by an outside contractor this week. Our Food Bag Distribution will resume normal operations the week of 7/6. All services handled by remote staff will proceed normally. We will not be able to accept donations of items such as food or supplies until 7/6. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This is an evolving situation, and we will share more information over the coming days.
