Pivoting to Meet Increasing Community Need

Since the pandemic began in mid- March, CSA has had to pivot agency operations to meet increasing community need.
Overall, we have seen a 76% increase in the number of households served compared to the same period last year. That translates into over 1,000 new households who have signed up for services including groceries, rental assistance and more.

Harvest of Thanks to Our Community Partners

Autumn brings thoughts of cool crisp days, pumpkin patches, warm apple pie and harvest time.  It also ushers in a season of gratitude and a time of reflection. Thinking about this past year at CSA and our Food & Nutrition Center (FNC),  we want to take this opportunity to thank the many wonderful businesses and organizations we work with throughout the year who help to bring the harvest to our table.  Our program served nearly 700,000 pounds of food to over 3,600 people in our community last year – a feat we could not have done by ourselves as it truly takes a village to care.

#BecauseICare – Christine Flego

Behind every rent check paid to a landlord and bag of food distributed is a team of case managers and support staff working with individuals and families seeking assistance. Throughout May we will be highlighting some of these champions who work behind the scenes to improve our clients’ lives. We are delighted to feature Christine Flego, Food & Nutrition Center Program Director in this week’s #BecauseICare campaign.
