“Please thank the community and CSA staff for all the support and information they have given us,” said a CSA client who attended our holiday gift card distribution in December. “It was a difficult year, but there is still much to be grateful for.”

“Our clients have been very appreciative to receive gift cards for Safeway and Target this year,” says CSA Executive Director Tom Myers. “This new format for our Holiday Sharing Program provides a safer way to distribute resources and also empowers clients and families to purchase what they need the most. Our clients deeply appreciate the flexibility to choose items for the holidays during these difficult times.”

Those attending our food pantry distribution on December 23 enjoyed a special holiday surprise, receiving holiday chickens or turkeys in addition to some other special items and regular groceries available that day.

To date, 945 households have received holiday gift cards. The need is so great that we are continuing to hand out gift cards throughout January.

CSA would like to thank everyone who donated gift cards or financially contributed to the purchase of gift cards – you made the holidays a little brighter for the individuals and families who look to CSA for services and support. Our Holiday Sharing Program foundation and corporate sponsors include: American United Bridge League, Unit 503; Fremont Bank Foundation; Google; Mountain View Group at Morgan Stanley; Mountain View Public Safety Foundation and the Yen Chuang Foundation.
