CSA staff are gearing up to return to an in-person format for our annual back to school distribution later this month.  This year’s event will be held on Saturday, July 24, from 10:00AM to 3:00PM in the CSA parking lot. Participating client families will receive a $50 Target gift card per school-age child to purchase clothing, shoes and grade-specific supplies. A limited number of backpacks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to enjoying ice cream donated by Baskin Robbins Mountain View, each household will be invited to select two handcrafted bowls from our Empty Bowls inventory.

Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian will be on hand to greet families in the morning. El Camino Hospital will provide on-site COVID vaccinations throughout the day, and staff from the Santa Clara County Office of Social Services will be registering people for CalFresh benefits.

If you are a Mountain View or Los Altos resident who qualifies for assistance through our Back to School event or other program and services (e.g., rent relief, utility assistance, food assistance etc.), please contact us at (650) 968-0836. You can be scheduled to speak with a case manager regarding your specific needs.

Community members who would like to contribute to this program are encouraged to drop off or mail Target gift cards in $25 or $50 denominations to the agency at 204 Stierlin Road, Mountain View 94043. Online gifts to support the event are also encouraged; please click here to make a gift.
