DetailsA BIG thank you to community members who have submitted names of their community heroes to honor during our virtual Hometown Heroes event next Thursday, October 1st, from 5:00 to 6:00PM. Here are some of the names submitted so far of individuals, businesses and organizations in Mountain View and Los Altos who have helped the community during these times of great need.

DetailsWe are delighted to honor Foothills Congregational Church (FCC) as one of our 2020 Hometown Heroes. FCC shares many core values with Community Services Agency – both organizations strive to create a friendly, caring, and supportive community that helps those in need. A goal held sacred by the church is for congregants to truly live out their faith.

DetailsWe are delighted to honor Tom Smith as one of our 2020 Hometown Heroes. Tom embodies the best of community volunteerism and leadership. Over the years, Tom has been involved with the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, serving as president in 1998-99, and the Los Altos United Methodist Church (LAUMC) where he and his wife Karen are active members. In 2016, Karen and Tom received the Chamber’s coveted Walter & Marie Singer award given “to those exhibiting community service, generosity and commitment to business.”
