Woo hoo – CSA’s Young Professionals (YP) group has fully arrived! In January, this (relatively) new arm of CSA volunteers rolled out their own page on the CSA website. The page includes everything you wanted to know about this dynamic group of individuals in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Click here to view.
For those who may be new to the cause, CSA’s YP group was formed several years ago to help address the issues of hunger, poverty and homelessness in our community. The concept came from CSA board members Jolee Crosson and Gene Fram who had been researching ways to engage a new generation of donors, leaders and volunteers. Their vision became a reality when Google employee Julia Karr stepped up to launch the program during her year as a Google ambassador to CSA and then became its first chair.
“We are so thrilled to have this vibrant group advocating for the cause, volunteering at agency events and raising funds in support of our programs and services,” says CSA Executive Director Tom Myers. “We had been talking for a long time about how best to attract new corporate volunteers and supporters, and this group is it!”
